Google Chrome – first impressions
September 2nd, 2008
I just installed Google Chrome. I’ve only spent a few minutes with it, but here are my first impressions.
The browser is very clean and polished; much of the functions are hidden away and it has a Safari feel to it. (Chrome is based on Safari)
Here’s the Browser’s User-Agent ID when run from XP:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/525.13 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/0.2.149.27 Safari/525.13
The most interesting feature with Google Chrome is the “Task Manager” which pin points the memory and CPU usage from your open tabs/pages and RTE/plug-ins.

The web browser race is getting interesting.
More to come.
